Africa-Press – Angola. The BAI Sicasal Petro de Luanda cycling team, composed of four athletes, is waiting for an exit visa to travel, this Monday afternoon, to Portugal, where it will participate in the Torres Vedras Grand Prix.
Bruno Araújo assured, in Lubango, that the preparation is being well done, with the aim of competing to try to put the name of the team and of Angola, in particular, at the highest level.
“We are four athletes who left Angola, to join two others in Portugal, one Spanish and one French, to compete”, he announced.
He said that Angolans are complete cyclists and can defend themselves very well in all areas. He acknowledged that it will be a difficult race, because Portuguese cycling is very strong, “but we believe that we can make a good result, and we will give as much as possible”, he assured. The BAI cyclist Sicasal Petro de Luanda highlighted that the group is doing well and With the victory won in the 140 km long distance race, in the National Road, the team is more motivated.
“We are in a rush because everything was at the last minute, and we are still waiting for the visas. Therefore, we are waiting for the visas to come out on Monday, since the trip will be in the afternoon, to see if We were able to travel,” he said.
