Africa-Press – Angola. The Kibabo Group intends, by the end of this year, to open 10 more stores in Luanda and create a total of 2,000 direct jobs, adding another 300 to the current 1,700 employees.

The data was shared a few days ago, in the urban district of Maianga, at the opening of another mini Kibabo, which makes up 11 of this type of proximity stores and 30 units in all, including supermarkets, by the group’s executive director, Pedro Mateus.

“We want to close 2022 with 40 stores and a total of 2,000 employees. After that, having consolidated our presence in the country’s capital, we will start in other provinces”, he said.

Pedro Mateus told that starting next year, the Kibabo supermarket chain will begin expanding across the country, focusing on the provinces of Benguela and Huíla, using the initial entry into these markets of Equivalenza stores, a brand owned by the group. .

Investment In Butchery

Kibabo’s store number 30 generated 40 new jobs.

The big news is the first Talho, which includes Peixaria, in the entire Kibabo chain of stores.

“We have here for the first time a butcher shop in Kibabo stores. We want to serve with the best we have and even more through the promotion of national products”, said Pedro Mateus.

The official explained that “national meats, fish and seafood are now available with the regularity that characterizes the group”.

The new store, the third in the urban district of Maianga, is on Rua Aires Menezes and will operate with two shifts of 20 workers each. The opening ribbon was cut by the administrator of the Maianga Urban District, José de Oliveira Bastos.
