Africa-Press – Angola. A total of 720 citizens began, this Monday, to be trained by the Municipal Electoral Commission (CME), in the city of Mbanza Kongo, province of Zaire, in order to work as members of polling stations and polling stations, within the scope of the preparation of the August 24 General Elections in the country.
The five-day training action aims to prepare members of polling stations and polling stations, through the necessary knowledge to make them capable of carrying out electoral operations on the 24th of this month, without any margin for error.
For the success of the process, the CNE subdivided the training action into two phases, being theoretical and practical, which is being provided by 24 trainers who, later, will also integrate the group that is being trained to complete a total of 744 members of polling stations and stations.
The president of the Municipal Electoral Commission of Mbanza Kongo considered training a complex task, but with the help and understanding of the trainers, municipal commissioners and CME officials, the success of the work is assured.
José Vieira said that he is aware that many of the trainees will work for the first time in polling stations and polling stations, along with other qualified people who already have experience, having participated in previous elections, which will facilitate interaction and assimilation of knowledge. that are being provided.
To this end, he drew special attention to all trainees, including trainers, on the responsibility that, from this moment on, depends on them, since the voting process requires scrupulous compliance with everything established in the CNE manual.
He appealed to the members who will be appointed as presidents or secretaries to start demonstrating responsibility, as an example during the formation, so that they can earn the trust of the authorities.
The municipality of Mbanza Kongo, for the election on 24 August, will have 67 assemblies and 186 polling stations.
