Africa-Press – Angola. The swimmer Lia Lima is, since last Sunday until the 16th of this month, in the Spanish city of Malaga, a pre-competitive stage, aiming at the dispute of the African Swimming Championship, from 20 to 25 August, in Tunis, Tunisia.

Last weekend, Lia Lima participated in the Portuguese absolute National Championship, having competed in the 50, 100 and 200 meters mariposa, qualifying for the final B, where she triumphed in the 100 and 200 meters. In the women’s class, Lia Lima is the Angolan swimmer with the greatest international reference, with 645 points in the FINA ranking.
Angola participates in the African with Sofia Vieira (551 points), who also trains in Malaga (Spain), Maria Freitas (598) and Henriques Mascarenhas (737), preparing in Jamor (Portugal).
Daniel Francisco (660), working in England, Djamel Pires (551) and Rafaela Santos (524), in Cape Town (South Africa) complete the group that will evolve in the African of Tunis. Salvador Gordo and Pedro Pinotes were left out by choice.
In the previous edition , held in 2021, in Accra (Ghana), Angola occupied third place.
