Africa-Press – Angola. Angola presented, this Thursday, in the city of Ho Chi Minh, in Vietnam, the existing business opportunities in the Angolan market, as well as the important sectors of the economy of greater interest to foreign investors.

Speaking at the first Angola-Vietnam Economic Forum under the motto: Investment-Commerce-Tourism: Partnership for Sustainable Development, the Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Angolan Communities, Domingos Vieira Lopes, listed the sectors of Agriculture, Agro-industry, Manufacturing Industry, Construction, Tourism, Logistics Infrastructure – including new Projects in the areas of Oil and Gas, Banking, Finance, Insurance and Real Estate.

During the event, Angola saw this forum as a great opportunity to make the most of the exchange of experience and know-how, towards the transformation, rehabilitation and modernization of economic and social infrastructure, medical and medication assistance , and other accomplishments that could radically and positively transform the lives of its people.

In the brief address, representing the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, the also ambassador and assistant to the holder of the Vietnamese Diplomacy portfolio, Nguyen Minh Vu, underlined the need to strengthen economic cooperation, exchange of information and experience, with the holding of the VII Bilateral Commission, to be held in Luanda, so that another impetus can be given to this sector that has not yet reached the desired level.

On the occasion, two Memorandums of Understanding were signed, one between the Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency of Angola (AIPEX) and the Vietnamese counterpart, the Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE), whose signatories were, respectively, the administrator for the AIPEX Support and Articulation Area, Cláudia Pedro, and the Director of International Relations and Export Promotion at VIETRADE, Ngoc Liên.
