Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, reappointed, on Friday, José Manuel Ganga Júnior to the position of chairman of the Board of Directors of Empresa de Diamantes de Angola (ENDIAMA – EP).
In the Presidential Order, João Lourenço appointed the executive directors Laureano Receado Paulo, Ana Maria Feijó Bartolomeu, Teófilo Assunção Rodrigues Chifunga and Domingos Mateus dos Santos Neves Margarida.
For the positions of non-executive directors, the President of the Republic appointed Santana André Pitra and Ngola Kabangu.
Earlier, in another Dispatch, the Holder of the Executive Power ended the term of José Manuel Ganga Júnior, as Chairman of the Board of Directors of ENDIAMA – EP, a position to which he had been appointed in November 2017. In the same Dispatch, the statesman ended the mandate of the executive directors Laureano Receado Paulo, Ana Maria Feijó Bartolomeu, Osvaldo Jorge Campos Van-Dúnem and Joaquim Filipe Luís.
The document indicates that Santana André Pitra has completed his mandate, for which he had been appointed in November 2017, as non-executive director.
Founded on January 15, 1981, ENDIAMA – EP is a public company dedicated to prospecting, exploring and marketing diamonds. It operates in the national territory as operator and exclusive concessionaire in the management of the value chain of the diamond subsector.

On the same day, the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, appointed Eugénio Pereira Bravo chairman of the Board of Directors of the Diamond Trading Company SODIAM, EP
According to the Presidential Order, Fernando Teixeira da Fonseca Amaral and José das Neves Gonçalves Silva were also appointed as directors of the Board of Directors of SODIAM.
According to the document, President João Lourenço delegated powers to the Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, to confer ownership on the aforementioned entities. In another Dispatch, the Head of State ended the mandates of Eugénio Pereira Bravo, Fernando Teixeira da Fonseca Amaral and José das Neves Gonçalves Silva, respectively chairman of the Board of Directors and directors of the company.
The Angola National Diamond Trade Company (SODIAM – EP) is a state-owned company responsible for controlling and supervising the purchase, sale and export/import of diamonds in Angola.
