Africa-Press – Angola. The national consumer price index (IPCN) registered a variation of 0.87%, from November to December 2022, with an acceleration of 0.05 percentage points.

But, in year-on-year terms (December 2021 to December 2022) there is a deceleration in the current variation of 1.23 percentage points, according to the Quick Information Sheet (FIR) published by the National Institute of Statistics (INE).

During the month of December, the provinces of Zaire (1.09%), Namibe (1.04%) and Cunene (0.99%) registered the greatest variation in prices.

The provinces that recorded the lowest variation in prices were Moxico (0.68%), Bengo (0.72%) and Cabinda (0.74%).

According to INE, the “clothing and footwear” class was the one that registered the biggest price increase, with a variation of 1.98%.

Health classes (1.85%), miscellaneous goods and services (1.46%), leisure, recreation and culture (1.08%) also influenced the increase in prices.

For the province of Luanda, in particular, the IPCN registered a variation of 0.90% from November to December 2022, also with an acceleration of 0.06 percentage points.
