The vice-governor for the political, social and economic area of Bié, Alcida Celeste de Jesus Camateli Sandumbo, asked this Monday, in Cuito, for teachers in this part of the country and not only to engage in the comprehensive training of children , with a view to forging their cognitive abilities.
The official expressed the wish when speaking at the opening of the training course for teachers in specific methodologies of pre-school education, which the city of Cuito welcomes.
40 pre-school teachers from nine municipalities in the province are taking part in the event.
Alcida Sandumbo said that the measure aims to format the brain of the little ones while they are young, thinking, reading, writing and discerning between good and evil.
He stressed, therefore, that it is the commitment of the Government of the Province of Bié to prioritize the training of staff, especially in the education sector, to adapt the levels of education according to the national calendar 2022/20223.
On the occasion, the director of the provincial education office in Bié, Amado Leonardo André, said that one of the objectives was to make children, up to 6th grade, able to interpret natural phenomena and learn the basic operations of the exact sciences.
The event is part of the educational reform underway in the country, with a duration of five days, in which aspects related to linguistic communication, oral expression, graphics, games and others will be analysed.
Remember that last week, 126 teachers in the specialties of chemistry, physics, informatics and electronics also participated in a training course, in an initiative of the Kora – Angola group.
It also aimed to train teachers and school managers with new skills for handling laboratories, with a view to increasing the level of mastery, both of teachers and students.
This is the second phase. The first was held from the 9th to the 13th of this month, covering 82 teachers from the 1st cycle of secondary education.
In this academic year (2022-2023), the education sector enrolled 497 thousand 659 students in all teaching subsystems, which are ensured by 14 thousand 505 teachers, distributed in 1,396 schools.
