Africa-Press – Angola. Fifty-five thousand and 72 identity cards were issued, during the year 2022, in Cunene province, announced this Wednesday, the head of the Department of Planning, Statistics and Heritage, David Salomão.
Of the total documents, 34 thousand and 822 were issued for the first time and another 20 thousand 250 are duplicates.
According to the person in charge, 17 million, 753 thousand and 787 kwanzas were raised in the period in question, as a result of issuing identity cards.
David Salomão also informed that 10 thousand 117 Identity Cards (BI) have been waiting, since 2019, for collection at Cunene issuing posts, having expressed concern about this situation.
He advised the owners to go to the Register Office in the city of Ondjiva, as well as to the issue points in the municipalities of the province, for the due survey, before the expiry of the respective documents.
The province of Cunene has a registration store and six ID issuing posts.
