Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Youth and Sports, Palmira Barbosa, is in Lunda Norte province, among other matters, to find out about the works on the multipurpose pavilion in the municipality of Chitato, paralyzed in 2016 due to financial difficulties.

The pavilion works are budgeted at 18 million US dollars, it is located in an area of ​​6,464 square meters, in the urban district of Mussungue, close to the centrality of Dundo.

It is a pavilion with three floors, designed to accommodate 3,700 spectators (3,070) with an arena, two boxes, press area, a car park for 2,100 vehicles, two changing rooms and a press conference room.

Until the stoppage, the structure, benches, game court, changing rooms, cabins, press rooms, asphalting of the access road to the pavilion and stores were executed.

The pillars, part of the masonry, metallic structure, fire-fighting network, electrical network, sewers, car park, trailer, application of the multipurpose floor and ceiling remain to be completed.

During 24 hours in Lunda Norte, Palmira Barbosa will visit the Sagrada Esperança stadium, bare fields in the neighborhoods of Camatundo and Norte, a sports court adjacent to the Higher Pedagogical School and two tennis courts (floor and clay).

In Lunda Norte, the minister will hold a meeting with youth leaders, presidents of associations and sports directors.

The province of Lunda Norte has five tennis courts, 14 football fields, with emphasis on the Sagrada Esperança Stadium with capacity for seven thousand spectators and six multi-sports squads.

On Tuesday, the minister will travel to the city of Saurimo, province of Lunda Sul.
