Africa-Press – Angola. The collection of poetry books by Agostinho Neto, comprising the works “Sagrada Esperança, Renunciation Impossível and Amanhecer”, was launched Friday, in the city of Uíge, by the Agostinho Neto Foundation.
With 172 pages, the “Complete Poetic Work” consists of three books by Agostinho Neto, prepared in the period from 2016 to 2022, in Luanda.
The presentation of the book, which took place at the Instituto Superior de Ciências da Educação (ISCED) in Uíge, is part of the activities commemorating the centenary of Agostinho Neto, celebrated on September 17, 2022.
Presented by writer Eduardo Nkanga Pedro, the work tells stories of the National Liberation Struggle.
The initiative consolidates, once again, the title of greatest poet given to him by the voices of the Nation, considered writer Eduardo Nkanga Pedro.
In her speech, the director of the Provincial Education Office of Uíge, Pasi Mafuta Nova, said it was an important work and will continue to inspire Angolans.
And, in turn, the director of the António Agostinho Neto Foundation, Victor Bunga, said it was the second release of the work, after the province of Luanda, in April this year.
