Africa-Press – Angola. Fifteen people with disabilities from the municipality of Dande received wheelchairs Thursday, in Caxito, northern Bengo province, to help them move around.
The delivery of the means was made by the Municipal Administration of Dande, which intends to contemplate the greatest possible number of people with disabilities in the municipality.
The 15 seats were distributed to the municipal board of Dande of the National Association of the Handicapped of Angola and to the communal administrations of Caxito, Barra do Dande, Mabubas, Kicabo and Úcua.
The municipal secretary of ANDA in Dande, Eduardo Ferraz André, underlined that the means will help to minimize the mobility difficulties that the associates face.
João Gomes Manico, student and beneficiary, said that the chair he received will help significantly reduce the difficulty he has in getting to school.
Maria Miguel Paulo, also contemplated, expressed her joy, and said that she will keep her chair so that it lasts for a long time.
The municipal board of Dande of the National Association of the Disabled of Angola controls 375 associates.
