Army bets on training personnel in military technology

Africa-Press – Angola. The Army Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General António José de Sousa Queiroz, pointed out, this Friday, the training of troops in matters of military technology, as one of the challenges, to face world events.

The general officer, who was speaking at the end of the 21st Auto Drivers course, in Chipipa commune, Huambo municipality, referred that training in the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) is a dynamic activity that the military bodies propose to follow, taking into account the complexity of the military art

According to the military official, as time goes by, there is a tendency for the great military powers to increase their military technology, hence the FAA cannot disassociate itself from these challenges in an increasingly globalized world.

He said that the Army has, in addition to the primary mission of defending territorial integrity, attention turned to the training and improvement of the workforce, as a result of complying with the guidelines of the President of the Republic and Commander-in-Chief of the FAA, João Lourenço, in order to keep it increasingly strong.

Lieutenant General António José de Sousa Queiroz informed that the 21st Auto Drivers course aimed to achieve good disciplinary conduct, moral and physical resistance, as well as to instill knowledge of driving service vehicles, administrative and tactical support on suburban, interurban roads and agglomerations.

Among the objectives is the scope of mastery of the new Highway Code, as well as raising the levels of knowledge of the staff in terms of technical and special maintenance operations, with a view to fully carrying out specific missions.

For this reason, the general officer considered the training, aimed at the staff of the three branches of the FAA, namely the Army, the National Air Force and the Navy, as a moment of capital importance, due to the fact that, from now on, they will be in direct contact with technical means, auto and armored vehicles.

He appealed to the trainees to make the technical means available to them worthwhile, in training in which the necessary knowledge was transmitted for the logical use of national roads, thus enabling the transport of personnel and cargo to the most varied military regions of the country.

The 21st Auto Armored course was completed by 283 personnel from the three branches of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), namely the Army, the National Air Force and the Navy, who learned, in nine months, general contents of the United Order, Continence, Honors and Military Regulations, Internal Service of the Units, Physical Preparation and Protection of Protocol Individualities.

They also learned about Auto Driving and Operation, Material Part, Evacuation, Repair, Highway Code, Road Safety and Prevention, Tactics and Specialty Technique.
