Africa-Press – Angola. The Secretary of State for Human Rights, Ana Celeste Januário, urged, this Friday, in Luanda, citizens to be true promoters of the realization of political, economic, social and cultural rights.

“Angola needs everyone or the greatest number of people to know about the UN system, human rights and their meaning”, he concluded.

The Secretary of State spoke at the closing of the United Nations (UN) System Seminar on the realization of economic, social and cultural rights, which began on Monday.

Ana Januário declared that, despite the advances achieved, there is always a need to improve human rights, in any country in the world.

He recalled that the training coincides with the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which is commemorated under the motto “Advance with the promises of freedom, equality and justice for all”

.

The event was co-organized with the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and had the participation of national and foreign speakers.
