FILDA 2023: At least 75,000 people visited the fair

Africa-Press – Angola. Provisional data from the organization of the Luanda International Fair (FILDA) indicate that at least 75,000 people, 15,000 a day, will have visited the exhibition during the five days (18 to 22 July).

To access the enclosure, apart from exhibitors, journalists and the entire event support team, visitors needed to buy a ticket at the price of three thousand kwanzas.

The fair received the largest number of visitors. Until 5 pm, an hour before the closure of the enclosure, the entry of many visitors in groups of families was still notorious.

Of the visitors who flocked to FILDA, three main groups of people can be identified. Those looking for occasional or lasting employment, those who intended to establish business partnerships and those who saw the event as an opportunity for leisure and receiving gifts from exhibitors.

This is the case of Marcela Pilar, who went to FILDA in the first few days to look for a job, but was unsuccessful, as most exhibitors recruited staff before the start of the event.

On the contrary, Joaquim Marcelino, a businessman who came to the fair to see if he could find an opportunity for partnership and networking (business contacts).

Unlike the first interlocutors, press heard Teresa Maria, a young woman who visited the site with the aim of seeing the exhibition and receiving gifts.

“It is also a form of entertainment, visiting FILDA”, said the interviewee.

In turn, João Vicente, another young visitor, did not escape the rule. ” I like to visit this type of event because of the shop windows, the offers from the fairgrounds and also for recreation.

Tonight, for the final closing of the 38th edition, exhibitors will be awarded in various categories, based on criteria such as best stand and others predefined by the organization.

Those distinguished are given, symbolically, “Golden Lions” and a certificate.

The event brought together 1,302 exhibitors, including businessmen from 15 countries, among which Portugal, South Africa, Germany, Italy, Japan, Portugal, Turkey, Brazil and the USA stand out.

Participation this year doubled that of 2022.
