FILDA 2023: Minister announces expansion of exhibition space

Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Economy and Planning, Mário Caetano João, announced this Saturday a project to expand the exhibition space at the Luanda International Fair, in order to bring together a greater number of companies.

Speaking to the press, at the “Golden Lions” gala of the 38th Edition of the Luanda International Fair, he underlined that his department should work with the event promoter in order to mobilize commercial banking to finance the emergence of the new exhibition park in the Special Economic Zone (ZEE).

Referring to the more than 40 companies that were left out, he said: “it awakens our attention so that we can work with the promoter on a larger exhibition park”.

He added that, eventually, the existing exhibition hall will be dismantled in order to set up a new exhibition park within 10 or 11 months.

“The project already exists, it will be mounted on the same space and there is a great possibility of seeing a company and a business grow in the way the fair is growing”, he said.

This fair breaks a record in terms of exhibitors (1,302), doubling the participation of the last edition.

The 38th edition will be marked by the fact that more than 40 exhibitors cannot register due to limited space prepared for the exhibition.

Under the motto “Digital economy, the new world frontier”, FILDA hosted exhibitors from various latitudes – from Africa, North and South America, Europe and Asia.
