Expo-Huíla generates three thousand temporary jobs

Africa-Press – Angola. At least 3,000 temporary jobs, lasting up to 10 days, will be created in the preparation and holding phase of the 30th edition of Expo-Huíla, to be held from 16 to 20 August, as part of the 121 years of the Festivities of Nossa Senhora do Monte.

The event promoted by the Agro-Livestock, Commercial and Industrial Association of Huíla (AAPCIL) has normally generated between two and two thousand and 500 temporary jobs, but due to the expansion and restructuring of the enclosure, from 270 to 320 exhibitors, the number of jobs increased.

When talking about the event, the president of AAPCIL, Paulo Gaspar, referred to the young people who prepare the graphic design , the advertising and marketing part, who stay at the stands to serve people, among others.

“Normally we bet on youth, for many it has been their first job. This year, with the increase in space at Expo-Huíla, we are thinking of reaching 3,000 young people”, he reinforced.

He added that a total of 320 public and private companies will be present at the event, of which 90 percent are national, an event that takes place under the motto “Pensar Angola”.

He declared that the event has the particularity of being a fair that seeks to show the potential of Huíla and neighboring provinces, from Namibe, Cuando Cubango, to Cunene, as well as some other parts of the country.

He referred that what is produced in agricultural and industrial terms will be shown, which is why not all editions have the 14 municipalities of Huíla represented, because that is where agricultural and livestock production begins.

In addition to the exhibition, regular workshops and lectures are held in relation to Transport, Commerce, Industry, Agriculture and Livestock, as well as Hospitality and Tourism.

The 29th edition of Expo-Huíla had a turnover of 200 million kwanzas.
