European market absorbs greater volume of LNG exports

Africa-Press – Angola. The largest volume of exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) processed in the second quarter of this year, a total of 874 thousand metric tons (MT), were destined for European countries.

In the list of European countries, the Netherlands stands out with a volume of 23.30%, followed by France with 15.48%, Germany with 15.38% and the United Kingdom with 7.66%.

Another part of LNG went to the Republic of India, which had 22.87% of total LNG exports, according to data advanced this Tuesday by the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas (MIREMPET), which presented second quarter oil and gas export results.

LNG exports were made at an average average price of USD 514.65/MT.

In addition to LNG, in the second quarter of this year, 2023, Angola also exported 25,060 metric tons of Butane gas to China, worth USD 458.49 per metric tons.

Another exported gas was Propane, which was absorbed by the markets of Puerto Rico (13.87%), China (9.62%) and other destinations.

Of propane, a volume of 158.88 thousand metric tons was exported at a price of USD 284.44/MT.

Overall, Angola exported 1.12 million metric tons of

LNG, LPG and condensed, valued at USD 542.36 million. H
