Africa-Press – Angola. The second secretary of the Provincial Committee of the MPLA in Malanje, Nelo de Carvalho, reiterated yesterday, unity among citizens as a prerequisite for the consolidation of peace and democracy in the country.
He said that the MPLA is committed to the people, hence it will continue to promote peace, development, national harmony and the well-being of Angolans.
The politician made this appeal during a mass act promoted by the Municipal Committee of Malanje, in support of the party’s president, João Lourenço, which aimed to mobilize MPLA militants for the country’s causes.
He specified that for this, the population should not allow itself to be exploited and deceived, given the political challenges that the country is experiencing yesterday.
On the other hand, Nelo de Carvalho recognized the difficulties that the country has been facing in recent times, due to the socio-economic situation, so the party is working to overcome all the vicissitudes that the people are going through, although it is a crisis worldwide.
In turn, the first municipal secretary of JMPLA in Malanje, Luís Lourenço, valued João Lourenço’s strategic vision in leading the country’s destinies and reaffirmed the organization’s full support for the main figure of the party.
The political act was preceded by a march through some streets of the city of Malanje, bringing together thousands of militants, supporters and friends of the MPLA, from various parts of the province.
