Speaking to the press, at the end of the XVI pilgrimage to Santa Ana and patronal feast of the Diocese, the minister said that this interaction should be done in lectures and religious services.
He referred that the celebration of the feast of Santa Ana constitutes a gain for religious tourism as it brings together many elements of faith and culture.
In view of the country’s economic crisis, he said, the church is called to provide real information about the situation the country is experiencing, and what the government has been doing to overcome the global crisis.
The Eucharistic celebration at the end of the XVI pilgrimage to Santa Ana was presided over by the Bishop of the Diocese of Caxito, Dom Maurício Camuto, and preceded by a procession.
This year the Sanctuary of Santa celebrates 138 years of existence since it was built in 1885 and 16 since it was elevated to the Diocese by Pope Benedict XVI.
