Africa-Press – Angola. The Luanda/Kinshasa route will have, as of August 14 this year, four weekly TAAG flights departing from the Angolan capital on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday of each week .

The respective route will be operated by a DASH-8 model aircraft, with the capacity to carry 74 passengers, 64 in economy class and 10 in business class, according to a note made available this Tuesday.

According to the document, the reinforcement of frequencies is aimed at promoting trade, developing business and mobility between Angola and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), as well as responding to market demand indicators.

This initiative comes at a time when the 1st Angola Economic Forum – DRC is taking place in Kinshasa, under the theme “Economic partnerships towards mutual growth”, which brings together representatives of the Government of both countries, entities that promote investment, the business, among other participants.

In addition to Angola sharing an extensive land border (about two and a half thousand kilometers) with the DRC, both countries develop strong cooperation in various fields.

Additionally, the two countries are members of regional organizations such as the Southern African Development Community (SADC), Economic Community of Central African States (CEEAC), Gulf of Guinea Commission (CGG) and the International Conference of the Greater Lagos (CIRGL).

Founded in 1938, TAAG, a leading company in the aviation market in Angola, has been connecting Angolans through domestic and international connections, offering 12 domestic destinations and 13 international destinations.

In addition to passenger transport, its fleet also transports cargo.
