Africa-Press – Angola. Hundreds of MPLA militants, in the municipality of Icolo e Bengo, walked this Saturday through the streets of Bom Jesus commune, in support of the leadership of the President of the Republic and the party, João Lourenço.

The event took the form of a mass political act with declarations of support for the President of the Republic and the MPLA.

According to the first municipal secretary of the MPLA, in Icolo e Bengo, João de Almeida, the people of his municipality have a lot of admiration for President João Lourenço, which is why they unconditionally support his leadership.

On the occasion, he advised the militants to remain confident and hopeful in the President’s purposes, who is “excited to solve the people’s problems”.

He appealed to young people to remain vigilant, to refuse invitations to participate in acts that are harmful to healthy social coexistence and to manipulate citizens.

“We must all be imbued with the spirit that society only develops if there is peace and harmony and that the people participate in solving their problems”, said the politician.

At the end of the activity, the militants offered basic food baskets to needy families.

The act was attended by monitoring groups from the political bureau and the Central Committee of the party.
