Africa-Press – Angola. An event called “Literary Café” brought together, last Saturday night, in the city of Luena, northern Moxico province, a group of writers and literature lovers to share experiences in the production of writings.
The activity, held in one of the rooms of the Monumento à Paz Complex, was organized by the Muyombo bookstore and other partners, bringing together writers, academics, artists and young people from other social segments, with a view to encouraging the habit of literary criticism in the region.
These are the writers Ngaiele Fundão, author of “Pensamentos de Alma: Sonhos em Realidade”, Abel Alcino (The Gods, Sons of Devils) and Bendito Muhusso (Epistles).
Also present were the writers Fernando Branco, author of “Crónicas e Pensamentos” and “O Presidente”, as well as Hortêncio Cassemene, owner of the books Caminhos and Foreigner, who shared experiences in the literary world and the production of their works.
On the occasion, writer Bendito Muhusso highlighted the event, which he believes could positively influence many young people who aspire to the “literary world”, awakening a taste for writing and reading.
already, Fernando Branco, who announced that on the 30th of September he will launch another literary production, with the title “The bishop of bare feet”, in honor of the former bishop of the Diocese of Luena, Dom Tirso Blanco, who died in 2022, characterized the event as a knowledge sharing event.
The former president of the literary brigade in Moxico, Ngaiele Fundão, highlighted the “revolution” that is taking place in the province, in literary terms, with the launch of several books on the market.
In turn, the event’s coordinator, Nelson Mucazo Euclides, said that, after this experience, his organization will launch, throughout the current month, a new project called “candengue literature”, which aims to encourage children to read.
In the last three years, the province of Moxico recorded the publication of several literary works, namely, “Prohibitions on evidence and procedural nullities”, by Elizeu Sacoji, “Leading with ethical morals and citizenship, a look at us”, by Quintas Sempieca, “Depression, Reflexes of a Bright Look”, by Alma Luzendo and Chronicles and Thoughts”, by Fernando Branco.
Also noteworthy are “The kiss that generated me”, by Eusébio Cassoma, “Lições de Administração Local Autárquica” by Maláquias Mário, “Foreign investment in Angola, fiscal aspects”, by Domingos Sete, as well as the books “Being Happy in Simplicity “, by Filomeno Wanga and “The Gods children of the devils”, by Abel Alcino.
