Africa-Press – Angola. A massive legalization campaign for companies and cooperatives was opened in Moçâmedes, Namibe province, in an initiative of the National Institute of Support for Micro, Small and Medium-sized Companies (INAPEM) in partnership with the Guiché Único da Empresa (GUE) from the province of Huila.

The campaign will last five days, ie from the 8th to the 12th of August, and aims to formalize economic activity and eliminate informality for economic operators.

At the opening act of the campaign, the head of the provincial department for business support in Namibe, Adilson Hachi, said that the initiative represents another step towards economic formalization and the reduction of informality in which many operators find themselves.

“This is a campaign that, despite being operated by INAPEM and the Guiché Único da Empresa da Huíla, has the support of the Government and the Provincial Office for Integrated Economic Development”, he underlined.

During the five days, according to the manager, they expect to legalize a considered number of companies that will be able to have access to the multiple opportunities in relation to the public policies that INAPEM operates.

On the occasion, he encouraged economic agents to legalize their companies and cooperatives in order to benefit from support, taking into account the short time of the campaign, which will not be enough to meet the demand of operators who are in informality in the province of Namibe.

The administrator of GUE in Lubango (Huíla), Inocência de Carvalho Pedro, said on the occasion that the campaign is expected to register a total of 100 processes related to the sectors of agriculture, fisheries, commerce and other services.

“We have a goal of serving 100 cooperatives, as this is the objective that brought us here, and other users who intend to set up commercial companies and individual names, until Friday,” he explained.

Young people associated with fishing cooperatives, who have already formalized their documentation, are satisfied, as they will help acquire credit from commercial banks and thus allow the purchase of materials such as buoys, engines and others. means used at sea and carry out the activity with more comfort and safety.

For other operators in the commune of Lucira, municipality of Moçâmedes, who also practice fishing, the initiative is welcome as the process of formalizing their companies and cooperatives will allow access to various Government support.

In addition to the support of the Government, the operators said, they also have the benefits of the banks, with regard to credits for the acquisition of equipment with refrigerated chambers, barges and assembly of fisheries.
