Africa-Press – Angola. Sixty heads of residents’ commissions and leaders of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in the municipality of Uíge will participate, starting this Tuesday, in the training seminar on Participatory Budgeting.
Promoted by the Network of Civil Society Organizations for the Fight against Poverty in the North Region, in collaboration with the Municipal Administration of Uíge, the meeting aims to provide better clarification on the benefits of the Participatory Budget in the communities.
The training action, lasting two days, will also address matters on the financial dimension of the participatory budget, institutional and normative budget, guidance guide, field visit, participatory budget projects and other content.
Speaking at the opening of the seminar, trainer Jeremias Mateus said that the training aims to raise awareness about the rights of citizens in communities, as well as the projects outlined by the Executive.
He said that the Network of Civil Society Organizations for the Fight against Poverty in the North Region will continue to promote training, with a view to disseminating Presidential Decree no. 134 and 135, of 22 July, on participatory budgeting.
The official also appealed to citizens to continue to contribute to the projects outlined by the Government, in order to promote social well-being.
