Africa-Press – Angola. The secretary of JMPLA in the province of Huambo, José Carlos Tombo, valued, this Wednesday, the engagement of the culture sector in artistic training during holidays, with a focus on training and social integration of young people.
José Carlos Tombo, who was speaking at the end of a meeting with graduates from theater, dance, singing, guitar, piano courses, among others, in a Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports office initiative, in partnership with Grupo Vozes D ́ Africa, highlighted the importance of artistic training for the preservation of cultural habits.
He stated that the initiative also attributed greater value to technical-professional courses, as they contribute to ensuring sustainability and social development.
For this reason, the secretary of JMPLA called for a greater engagement of the trainees, in order to acquire knowledge in the chosen areas, taking into account their relevance in the lives of many who aspire to undertake or become professionals.
In turn, the director of the Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports office, Jeremias Piedade Chissanga, informed that more than one hundred young people are enrolled in this 3rd edition of artistic training in holiday enjoyment, which, in addition to training, aims to promote social inclusion.
He said that the event also aims to safeguard habits and customs.
The training, an initiative last July and scheduled to end at the end of the current month, has children, adolescents and young people, some of whom have special needs, including physical, auditory and visual, enrolled in theater, dance, singing, guitar and piano.
