The second secretary of the Provincial Committee of the MPLA of Malanje, Nelo de Carvalho, expressed Saturday, the party’s dismay at the death of businessman and member of the organization, Monteiro Pinto Capunga, which occurred in the early hours of saturday, in Portugal, due to illness .
Speaking on the sidelines of the 3rd Extraordinary Meeting of the JMPLA Provincial Committee, the politician highlighted Monteiro Capunga’s contribution to the development of Malanje province, in particular, and the country in general.
“Son of Malanje, Monteiro Capunga did a lot for this land and gave everything for it, and part of it at a time that is inappropriate for us”, he stressed.
Monteiro Pinto Capunga was born in 1961 in the municipality of Marimba, province of Malanje, and was the owner of the MIAMOP business group.
He was a deputy to the National Assembly and a member of the Central Committee of the MPLA in the last two terms and until his death he was a member of the Provincial Committee of the Party in Malanje.
