Africa-Press – Angola. The shooter, Jorge Perestrelo, from Benguela, won Sunday, in Lubango, the 3rd Countdown of the National Shotgun Shooting Championship in Olympic moat, totaling 43 points.
The winner in the individual category broke 25 dishes each in five series, making 109, in a competition held within the scope of the 121st edition of the Festivities of Nossa Senhora do Monte, which take place in this city since day one.
In second and third place were the shooters, Emerson Gomes and Elisandro Costa, respectively from Benguela, with 43 and 31 broken targets.
By team, the trophy went to Clube de Tiro e Pescas do Lubango, which totaled 229 points, followed by Sporting Clube do Lubango and Socolil, with 194 and 104 points, respectively.
Monday, the president of the provincial association of clay pigeon shooting, in Huíla, Paulo Guga, considered the event “reasonable”, judging by the small number of athletes, as well as clubs in the event, as they were only 16, against the 29 of the 2022 test.
The sports director acknowledged the lack of mobilization of shooters in the provinces of Benguela and Luanda, seen as traditional participants, but believes that in the 4th Countdown of the championship to take place in the first half of next October, the scenario will be different.
