Africa-Press – Angola. The Secretary of State for Science, Technology and Innovation, Alice Almeida, said in Luanda, that the country has the support of UNESCO in training technicians who work in the collection, analysis and dissemination of CTI indicators.

Speaking at the opening of the campaign for the collection of Science, Technology and Innovation Indicators (ICTI) and the Methodological Seminar for the Collection of Indicators, the Secretary of State referred that the existence of trained staff is an important condition for the correct production of indicators.

According to the person in charge, this data collection campaign for the production of Science, Technology and Innovation indicators has a national scope and refers to the period from 2015 to 2018.

According to the Secretary of State, the results obtained will make it possible to assess the performance and quality of CTI activity in the country, as well as that of the actors of the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation.

Alice Almeida explained that the collection of STI indicators aims to materialize the objectives of the national policy within the framework of the Sectorial Development Plan 2023-2027, of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESCTI).

The methodological seminar aims to transmit and share knowledge about the Science, Technology and Innovation Indicators (ICTI), says the same note.
