The CWAM Cooperative is a collective organization, endowed with its own legal personality, administrative, financial and patrimonial autonomy, designed in 2020 to help family farming projects in extremely vulnerable communities, but only today has its members sworn in.
According to the chairman of the board of the general assembly of the same, Piedade Pena, the projects aim to enhance the agriculture sector that contribute to sustainable development, in the regional and national scale.
The official was speaking at the swearing in of the provincial coordinators of CWAM from Huíla, Benguela, Namibe, Huambo, Malanje and Huíla, stressing that the vision of the guild is to work with INAPEM for the evaluation of projects and with Banco Caixa Angola, with whom established a partnership and started to finance up to one hundred million kwanzas, through the Credit Guarantee Fund.
“In Huíla alone, the project already benefits, on an experimental basis, ten young people, who have invested in agriculture with funding”, he revealed.
He defended the need for everyone involved to participate hard in this process, for the country to change economically, therefore, those in office now have the mission to license cooperatives in rural communities and follow up in the scope of training with the provincial offices of agriculture and fisheries.
The provincial coordinators of CWAM, Henriques Miguel, Jorge Elias, Márcio Ricardo, Helga Tomé and Nelson Gonga, were sworn in for Huíla, Namibe, Benguela and Huambo, respectively, with the latter also responsible for Malanje and Bié.
