Africa-Press – Angola. The governor of Lunda Norte, Deolinda Satula vilarinho, appealed (Wednesday) to the municipal administrations to be creative, dynamic and efficient in the execution of socio-economic projects, aiming to satisfy the wishes of the citizens.
The minister made this appeal during the sworn-in act of the deputy municipal and district administrators of Chitato, Caungula, Cambulo, Cuango, Cuilo, Lucapa, Capenda-Camulemba, Lubalo, Lóvua, Xá-muteba, Mussungue and Dundo.
He recommended greater attention to projects to promote family farming, through the Integrated Program for Local Development and Combating Poverty and the completion of works on the Integrated Plan for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM).
Deolinda Vilarinho, challenged municipal administrations to work on attracting private investment, promoting the economic potential of each municipality, through digital platforms and beyond.
“We need to continue working to get people out of their minds that the province of Lunda Norte only offers business opportunities in the diamond subsector. Therefore, we have to promote our agricultural and tourist potential”, she stressed.
He reiterated the need for municipal administrations to invest in improving basic sanitation and primary health care.
During the ceremony, the governor also swore in the new director of the provincial office for the Environment, Solid Waste Management and Community Services, to whom she recommended rigor in monitoring and combating environmental degradation and river pollution.
