Africa-Press – Angola. The first provincial secretary of the MPLA in Bengo, Maria Antónia Nelumba, Friday, asked the militants of the municipality of Ambriz to be united, vigilant and cohesive around the party and president João Lourenço.
Speaking at the mass political event in Kimuala, Tabi commune, Maria Nelumba recommended that militants prevent intrigue and slander from provoking weakness within the party.
For politics, the party’s work should be centered on mobilizing and organizing grassroots structures, where the CAPs are the fundamental unit, to make the MPLA a stronger party capable of carrying out its functions.
He called for greater participation of the population in community affairs and in the preservation of public goods.
It encouraged the population of Ambriz to invest in agriculture and fishing, as well as promoting tourism as a way to raise more revenue.
According to the first secretary, it is necessary to continue to support fishing and agricultural cooperatives in Ambriz and to improve support infrastructures to increase production.
It is essential to continue to support women’s, ex-military and youth cooperatives, the policy said.
On this visit to the municipality, Maria Nelumba handed over sports equipment, a ZAP kit for the community jango and agricultural inputs to encourage family farming.
This is the fifth visit to verify the functioning of the party structures that the first provincial secretary of the MPLA in Bengo makes.
Maria Antónia Nelumba has already visited the municipalities of Dembos, Pango Aluquém, Dande, Bula Atumba and Ambriz, with only Nambuangongo missing.
