The Angolan football teams of 1o de Agosto and Académica do Lobito are looking this weekend to advance to the next stage of competitions under the auspices of the African Confederation of the modality, when they face their respective opponents in the second leg ‘ of the preliminaries.

1o de Agosto (national runners-up) face Sunday, in Kinshasa, against AS Vita Clube from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), in a response game for access to the Champions League.

In the first “leg” match played last Sunday, at the Tundavala stadium, in the city of Lubango, the Angolans won, by 1-0.

Therefore, the military only need a draw to continue in this competition, where they have already been on several occasions, with emphasis, recently, where they were eliminated from the semi-finals by Espenace de Tunis, from Tunisia, due to the bad work of the Zambian referee .

Académica do Lobito from the province of Benguela, on the other hand, plays today in the stronghold of La Passe, in the Seychelles Islands, for the second clash, this one for access to the group stage of the Confederation Cup, known as “Nelson Mandela”.

A draw will also be enough for the Académica team to continue in the competition.

The other Angolan teams in the Cups, Petro de Luanda, in the Champions League race and Sagrada Esperança in Lunda Norte, for the Confederation Cup, are exempt from these qualifiers.
