Africa-Press – Angola. UNITA, in Zaire province, Wednesday suggested that the competent authorities enact measures to reverse the phenomenon of fuel smuggling into the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
According to the provincial secretary of the black rooster party, Pedro Francisco Tanda, fuel smuggling is contributing to the squandering of the national economy, due to the fact that the price of fuel in the country is still subsidized by the State.

He said it was the party’s intention to continue to implement actions aimed at supervising oil production in the region, with a focus on defending the creation of more jobs and promoting equal opportunities for young people.
He appealed for the joint efforts of all the living forces of the province to continue working to solve the numerous problems that still afflict the local population.
The meeting, which is debating the party’s internal, social and economic life in the province of Zaire, takes place under the motto “UNITA proximity, modernization and growth”.
The meeting counts with the presence of the member of the accompanying group of this party to the province of Zaire, Silvestre Gabriel Samy.
