Africa-Press – Angola. The Council of Ministers considered this Wednesday, in Luanda, the draft law on the general regime of public funds, a diploma that establishes the legal system applicable to the creation, organization, operation, management, inspection, evaluation and extinction of these institutions .

The diploma, assessed at the 7th ordinary session of the Council of Ministers, chaired by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, should be sent to the National Assembly for due treatment.

The Angolan Executive intends, with this proposal, to adopt a new conception of the same, as a rule as financial reserves, or assets devoid of legal personality, to demarcate public funds from the current regime of public institutes, in order to define a unitary regulatory framework of its own and establish an operating model, based on market logic.

According to the communiqué of the session, the Council of Ministers also analyzed the proposal for a gaming activity law, an instrument that defines its principles and regulates the access process for games of chance practiced in casinos or social rooms.

It also analyzed the law on games played in virtual form and the like or the aforementioned instrument that also regulates the activity supervision process, the tax regime, responsible gaming, money laundering, as well as gambling advertising and the sanctions regime.

He also analyzed the law on insurance mediation, a diploma that defines the regime applicable to access, exercise, supervision, suspension, insurance and reinsurance mediation and brokerage activity in Angola.

The Council of Ministers is the collegiate body that assists the President of the Republic, as holder of the Executive Power, in formulating and conducting the general policy of the country and public administration.

Ordinary sessions take place on the last Wednesday of each month, while extraordinary sessions take place whenever called by the President of the Republic.
