Africa-Press – Angola. The first secretary of the MPLA in Luanda, Manuel Homem, defended, this Monday, greater cohesion of political training militants for the success of programs and projects aimed at improving the lives of citizens.

The politician was speaking at the opening of the IV Extraordinary Meeting of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Committee of the MPLA in Luanda, having added that this cohesion must also be allied to greater acuity in defending the successes achieved.

Likewise, Manuel Homem reinforced that, at this stage, one of the main challenges of the Provincial Committee is the revitalization of the basic structures, considering that this work will boost, even more, its political actions in the country’s capital.

In this sense, he appealed to the first municipal, district and social organizations secretaries, as well as the provincial secretariat of OMA to continue their engagement in this sense, with a focus on preparing militants for the important tasks that lie ahead.

“The party’s dynamism and action in the communities must continue to be priorities in the actions that we are developing”, said Manuel Homem.

For the first provincial secretary, the MPLA will only be a stronger party if its militants have the ability to be all at the same level of party political knowledge, hence the training of its militants is assumed to be of extreme importance.

“So that, within the scope of the political debate, they are in a position to defend the leader and the achievements of the Executive”, he argued.

On the other hand, he highlighted the fact that the Government formed by the MPLA, as a result of the last general elections of 2022, is being very sharp in the search for solutions to solve social and economic problems, through its programs and strategies.
