FRESAM’s action program also includes the implementation of a water system in the Saco-Mar and Aída neighbourhoods, in the municipality of Moçâmedes, to reinforce the irrigation capacity of crops and the supply of precious liquid to the population.
The municipality will also benefit from this financing, the construction of five cooperative headquarters with their respective warehouses, for the conservation of all production from the 04 de Março neighborhood.
For the administrator of the municipality of Moçâmedes, Abel Kapitango, the projects will help minimize some of the difficulties experienced by residents, especially with regard to the supply of drinking water.
This is a joint initiative with the Government of Angola to reduce hunger, poverty and vulnerability in communities affected by drought in the south of the country, in the provinces of Cunene, Huíla and Namibe.
