Africa-Press – Angola. The delegations for the African Mixed Martial Arts Championship, for men and women, which Angola will host from the 14th to the 17th of this month, at the Kilamba Multipurpose Pavilion, in Luanda, will start arriving on Monday.
According to the general secretary of the Angolan Federation of Mixed Martial Arts, José Gomes, participants must be in the country’s capital by the 13th, the date reserved for accreditation.
He informed that the organizing committee continues to work on accommodation, as well as the conditions of the venue that will host the competition.
In addition to Angola, 10 more countries were confirmed, namely South Africa, holder of the title, Namibia, Zambia, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of Congo, Algeria, Egypt, Mauritius, Côte d’Ivore and Cameroon.
According to José Gomes, the National Team has been working since August, with the presence of 54 athletes who will compete in the competition in two categories, juniors and seniors.
The national team started working with 94 practitioners.
