Africa-Press – Angola. The provincial secretary of UNITA in Bié, Celso Torres Capingãla, urged yesterday, in the city of Cuito, the strengthening of national reconciliation, in order to consolidate peace and democracy.
The politician was speaking at the opening of the first ordinary meeting of the LIMA provincial committee (UNITA women’s organization), which takes place under the motto “Proximity, Mobilization and Leadership”.
According to Celso Torres Capingãla, to reinforce national reconciliation, it is necessary to unite all the living forces that make up the Angolan political, social, cultural and religious mosaic.
“When we talk about unity, I’m not just referring to LIMA, but to all other political forces linked to the MPLA, PRS, FNLA, Bloco Demático, among others”, he highlighted.
“The country celebrates National Hero’s Day this Sunday. There needs to be true reconciliation, uplifting others who also contributed to achieving independence,” he emphasized.
Meanwhile, the president of LIMA in Bié, Felizarda Nassapi Ndala, stated that her organization will work within the communities, in order to contribute to national reconciliation.
As for the challenges, he said that hard work must be done, in order to mobilize new activists, with a view to achieving the training objectives.
Today was also marked by the holding of the first ordinary meeting of the JURA provincial committee, which takes place in the city of Cuito, under the motto “JURA Firme in Defense of Angolan Youth for its Affirmation”.
On the occasion, the provincial secretary of UNITA’s youth branch in Bié, Artur Elevoco Fernando, made it known that his organization will continue to fight to promote youth, as well as to solve the problems that affect this fringe.
