Africa-Press – Angola. Boxer Alino Massimba (Electro do Lobito) won (Sunday), in Luanda, the September 17 professional boxing Gala, by unanimously defeating, in the fifth round, Hélder Luduema (Clube Chicago Bulls Bug), in the category of 63 kg.
Held on the multipurpose field of Vila Estoril, in the municipality of Kilamba Kiaxi, the match is part of the festivities of National Hero’s Day (17 September), the date of birth of the first President of the Republic of Angola, António Agostinho Neto, in 1922, in Kaxikane.
The event was held on the sidelines of the Luanda Provincial Boxing Championship, which was won by the Interclube team, followed by Clube Talento and Clube Mavinga, which occupied third place.
In addition to professional boxing, the Gala also featured eight (8) amateur fights, with emphasis on the 80 kg category, in which Aduain Liano (Clube Talento) beat, by technical “ko”, Albano Katulusi (Clube Fada).
Doctor António Agostinho Neto, who proclaimed Angola’s independence in 1975 from Portuguese colonization, died on September 10, 1979, in Moscow, now Russia.
