Africa-Press – Angola. Forty-six members of UNITA, including municipal secretaries, completed, this Saturday, in Mbanza Kongo, Zaire province, the first cycle of political training, in view of the upcoming challenges.

For twelve days, participants from the six municipalities of Zaire were trained in subjects related to mobilization techniques, law, political science, party organization, general politics, local authorities and basic notions about administration.

At the closing ceremony, the provincial secretary of UNITA in Zaire, Pedro Tanda, stated that the training of staff, leaders and activists is part of the party’s strategy to face the next political challenges in the country.

He asked recent graduates, the majority of whom were young, for determination and a spirit of mission with a view to increasingly raising the party’s ideals to desirable levels.

“The country needs young people who are astute and capable of contributing to the social and economic development of the country”, he highlighted.

Meanwhile, Ana Maria de Barros, municipal secretary of UNITA in Soyo, praised the initiative of her party’s leadership in the region in promoting this training action in favor of staff and leaders.

In turn, Pedro Elias, leader of UNITA in the municipality of Nzeto, said he left this course better equipped with knowledge that will allow him to better carry out his party mission in that fishing village.

The course was guided by staff from the central leadership of the black rooster party.
