Governor wants investment in the hotel and tourism sector

Africa-Press – Angola. The governor of Namibe, Archer Mangueira, this Wednesday called on the business class to invest in the hotel and tourism sector, thus contributing to the development of the country’s economy.

The government official, who was speaking at the inauguration of a hotel unit in the municipality of Moçâmedes, with capacity for 48 rooms, said that the country needs to find the best ways to reverse the current economic situation, with businesspeople investing in the tourism sector.

“Hospitality and tourism are areas that are developed through the private sector, and it is up to the Executive to create institutional mechanisms to avoid structural and bureaucratic constraints, as well as infrastructures and service networks to better serve”, he asserted.

He assured that the hotel and tourism sector will continue to deserve special monitoring from the Executive, within the scope of its program to diversify the economy and eradicate poverty.
