Municipal forum recommends rehabilitation of access roads in Uíge

Africa-Press – Angola. The forum to collect contributions for the preparation of the budget of the Municipal Administration of Uíge/2024, held this Friday, recommended the expansion of the electricity and water network in communities in the province’s headquarters municipality.

Guided by the Municipal Administrator of Uíge, Maria Cavungo, the participants suggested the rehabilitation of access roads in the city’s outlying neighborhoods and villages, as well as the maintenance of the electrical network in the Mbemba Ngango, Paco Benzi, Tange and Quituma neighborhoods.

The meeting also recommended the construction of new markets, alternative routes, especially in the central areas of Quilumosso, Kimpa Vita University, Quindenuco neighborhood and Paco Benzi.

The event also recommended the maintenance of electrical networks in neighborhoods on the outskirts of the city of Uíge, namely Mbemba Ngango, Paco Benzi, Tange and Quituma.

During the meeting, participants were informed about the implementation of the Integrated Municipal Intervention Plan (PIIM).

Of the eight actions in the Education and Health sectors, six have already been completed and delivered to the population.

In relation to the Participatory Budget for this year, the construction of five classrooms in the Calumbo village, the rehabilitation of nine fountains in the Mateus village and the assembly of a solar panel in Cassechi are underway in this locality, projects costing more than eight million kwanzas.

The meeting was attended by 89 employees from the local Education and Health sector, representatives of political parties, traditional authorities, religious people and other guests.
