Africa-Press – Angola. Audiovisual art producer Filipe Bengue Kiala (Fly Skuad) won, on Saturday, three of the 11 categories up for grabs in the 3rd edition of Angola UNITEL Move 2023.

During the awards gala, the producer was awarded the prizes for “best Podecast Youtube”, “best entertainment video” and “best YouTube channel”.

The competition, made up of 11 categories, two more than in previous editions, had a total of 178 applications, 100 for digital arts and 78 for those linked to the seventh arts.

The winners were also the arts makers in the categories of best Tik Toker, José Joaquim Inácio (The Emperor), best tiktok video, Cunamata, best actress, Sandra Gomes, best actor, Milton Kiladambuka, best director, Albano Correia, best short film, Malo, best documentary, Ondjélua by Óscar Gil and Eurico Pereira, and the best feature film went to the film entitled Por Jade.

In addition to these categories, a recognition award was also awarded for Theatre, a deserved tribute to the national creators of the art, which went to actor Paulo Bolota.

In his words about the circumstances Óscar Gil, one of the winners, praised the initiative of the company promoting the event, for allowing young people willing to follow the path of culture and arts to have this moment of recognition.

According to the producer, it is necessary to invest in the training of young art makers so that the works gain quality in order to compete for international awards.

The Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Mário Oliveira, who witnessed the event, said that initiatives of this kind allow young people to be increasingly committed to contributing to the recognition of Angolan culture.

According to the person responsible, it is also a way for Angolan culture to be present, placing its pillar in the country’s development, similar to other professional areas.

UNITEL intends, with this competition, to support the development of audiovisual arts through the annual awarding of content produced in Angola.

The project had its first edition in 2021 and in 2023 the promise of continuing to be an event of national expression to showcase the development of Cinema and Theater, with all its agents involved, remains active.
