Africa-Press – Angola. The 2nd commander of the Central Military Region, Brigadier Sapalo Baptista Tchimuhenguele, reaffirmed Tuesday, that the Army is focused, in addition to the rejuvenation process, on training healthcare workers to strengthen the military health system.
The military official, who was speaking at the end of the 12th Army Sanitary Training Course, representing the commander of this branch of the Angolan Armed Forces, said that the strategy aims to have an increasingly powerful and well-prepared workforce from a physical point of view. and mental, for the complete fulfillment of any mission.
He added that the training and improvement of personnel from the Angolan Armed Forces and the Army, in particular, constitute a permanent commitment that stems from the guidance of the Commander-in-Chief of the FAA and President of the Republic, João Lourenço, on the process of reconstruction and modernization ongoing in military society.
From this perspective, he added, the Higher Command has increasingly made efforts to create conditions for greater training and improvement of health services in the Angolan Armed Forces, through training.
Brigadier Sapalo Baptista Tchimuhenguele said that the FAA management has also been working on improving the working conditions of professionals and the accommodation of users, from the point of view of expanding and maintaining hospital infrastructures, in order to guarantee a systematized and quality assistance.
According to the general officer, both in times of war and peace, healthcare workers have always been frontline fighters, as they are always at the forefront during pandemics.
He added that the health worker is present in the context of the development of the Angolan Armed Forces as an important active force, endowed with growing vitality, great motivation and determination in the work he is responsible for carrying out to enhance the profession and improve primary health care. .
He called for the strict observance of strict and conscious discipline in the strict fulfillment of his duty for the military patient and other entities that are part of the work universe of the military health services, since the toilet is the element that has always been and will be in the forefront of the operational theater, to guarantee care for personnel in combat.
He added that military health care must be provided with ethical value, respect for human dignity, protection and preservation of the safety and physical integrity of soldiers.
According to the general officer, scientific knowledge and manual skills will only be considered effective if, together with effectiveness, there is sensitivity and humanization, hence the need for the health worker to continue to seek improvements in organization, discipline, loyalty, camaraderie, punctuality, poise, dignity personal, the pleasure of serving by humanizing services, paying attention to the common good, impartiality in the application of justice in service, purity in thoughts, words and actions.
During the course, opened on October 26, 2022, with 265 students from the Military Regions, Instruction Centers and Army Units, classes were taught in Nursing and Professional Ethics, Hygiene and Epidemics, Emergencies and Health Networks, General Nursing Care , Pharmacology, Pathology and Therapeutics, Morphysiology, Administration and Health Records and general military subjects.
The training also included internships in the areas of emergency bench, external treatment, medicine, orthopedics, intensive treatment, surgery and hygiene and epidemiology platoon, while in the military component they perfected the techniques of United Order, Continence and Military Honors, Standards for Unit services, Patriotic, Moral, Civic and Environmental education, Justice and Discipline.
