Africa-Press – Angola. The Mayamba bookstore has been promoting, since this Thursday, a book fair, with the aim of selling at low prices, in order to stimulate the love of reading.
According to the editorial assistant at the Mayamba bookstore, Edemira Manuel, the fair, taking place over two days, also aims to increase public participation in literary discussions, create opportunities to approach cultural interests, as well as allowing people to showcase their artistic talents.
He made it known that several titles by Angolan writers such as Luandino Vieira, Luís Fernando, Roderick Nehone, Aníbal Simões and Sousa Santos are on display at this fair.
The event, with the theme “Happy Holidays”, focuses on discounts of up to 30 percent on book prices, with books being sold for between 1,500 and 4,000 kzs.
He called on everyone to visit the book fair, to take advantage of the discounts and have a book as a souvenir, benefiting, above all, from educational tools and brilliant stories.
Mayamba is a generalist commercial publisher created in 2010 and has more than 300 titles published in 11 collections.
