Africa-Press – Angola. The Head of State, João Lourenço, arrived this Sunday in Luanda, coming from Windhoek, Namibia, where he participated in the funeral of President Hage Geingob, who died on February 4, at 82 years of age.
The Angolan statesman, who attended the state funeral of the Namibian President at Memorial Heroes Acre, received welcome greetings from the Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa, and other individuals.
Accompanied by the First Lady, Ana Dias Lourenço, the President of the Republic, also acting leader of SADC, had already participated, on Saturday, at the Independence Stadium, in another state funeral ceremony, for the physical passing of Hage Geingob.
On that occasion, when speaking, he said he was convinced that the Namibian people will know how to transform the pain and sadness over the loss into energy to dedicate themselves, with vigor, to building their Nation.
João Lourenço hopes that Namibians will know how to dedicate themselves to building the Nation, strong, resilient and exemplary in terms of stability, security and peace, which President Hage Geingob had in his Nation project.
Hage Geingob was the third President of Namibia, after Sam Nujoma and Lucas Pohamba.
