Africa-Press – Angola. Russia’s ambassador to Angola, Vladimir Tararov, expressed this Monday, in Luanda, his country’s interest in strengthening cooperation ties with the Angolans.
Speaking to the press at the end of a meeting with the National Youth Council (CNJ), Vladimir Tararov highlighted that his priority is to strengthen the bonds of friendship between the two countries and peoples.
“I’ve been in Angola for seven years and I’ve never left here for any reason whatsoever. My task is to reinforce the relationship, friendship and fraternity that has existed for a long time”, he reinforced.
However, the diplomat stated that strengthening cooperation depends on Angola’s will, since Russia “is always available to take this step, in areas such as energy, economy, agriculture, staff training, among others”.
For the diplomat, his country does not plan on stopping any type of relationship with Angola.
Relations between Angola and Russia date back to the times of the struggle for independence, when Moscow supported the MPLA.
