Africa-Press – Angola. Judicial employees in the province of Bié have been participating, since this Monday, in the city of Cuito, in training sessions, aiming to reinforce skills to better serve society, in an initiative of the Cuito District Court.

On this first day, the chosen topic was the danger of corruption in the Angolan judicial system (case of the Cuito district court), whose lecture was given by judge Eduardo Firmino Catumbela.

In his intervention, Eduardo Catumbela highlighted that corruption is an evil that must be eradicated in society”, warning that those involved in these crimes face a sentence ranging from two to 10 years in prison.

According to the judge, corruption negatively and irremediably affects institutions, communities and people, increases social inequality, facilitates the activities of organized crime, among other evils.

In his intervention, the presiding judge of the Cuito district court, Nganga Liberdade Pilartes da Silva, without going into many details, made it known that, at the moment, close to three thousand 150 cases of various crimes are being processed.

Until Friday, judicial employees will be trained on the judicial employee’s attitude inside and outside the court, How to improve the conduct and performance of the judicial employee, Professional secrecy, Respect between judges and employees, among others.

The judicial province of Bié controls 12 judges, seven of which are in the district of Cuito.
