Africa-Press – Angola. Indonesia’s honorary consul in Angola, Vicente Sebastião Inácio, said on Tuesday (27) that Indonesian private investors are interested in evaluating existing opportunities in Angolan territory, with a focus on the local transformation of fish.

The consular agent responded to a questionnaire, after a meeting with the Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources, Cármen do Sacramento Neto, at the Clássicos do Talatona Administrative Complex.

In addition to his presentation as honorary consul of Indonesia in Angola, Vicente Sebastião Inácio made the first approach to the imperative of cooperation between the two countries in the fisheries and marine resources sector.

“At this meeting, we discussed the availability, by Indonesia, of specialists, for the training, in Angola, of personnel for aquaculture activities, with emphasis on the production of tilapia, commonly known as cacusso, catfish and shrimp”, he said.

Honorary Consul of Indonesia in Angola, since July 2023, Vicente Sebastião Inácio is a mechanical engineer, graduated from the António Agostinho Neto University, and holds a postgraduate degree in petroleum engineering from the French Institute of Petroleum.

He began his professional career in the food industry, between 1979 and 1983, after being part of Sonangol, having spent 40 years in the oil sector.
